Recommended Cycling Trails
Cherry Mountain Loop
Ride to the summit of Mount Martha (3,554’). There are gorgeous waterfalls on this 25 mile,
intermediate-level pedal.
Bretton Woods
Bretton Woods offers pleasant jaunts through the White Mountain forest.
Cross country trails offer single and double track riding year round on their expansive trail network. These trails allow all cycling levels the chance to explore the base of New Hampshire’s majestic Mount Washington. Rentals are available.

White Mountain National Forest
Mountain biking is relatively unrestricted at this time, though bikes are prohibited in wilderness areas and on the Appalachian Trail. Otherwise bikes generally have access to the Forest’s entire network of woods and roads as well as hiking and ski trails.
Lincoln Woods Trail
This trail is an ideal family ride with a short side trip hike to Franconia Falls (5 miles east of Lincoln off the Kancamagus Highway).
Ammonoosuc Rail Trail
This biking trail is 19.5 miles. Littleton (Industrial Rd.) to Woodsville.
Franconia Notch Bike Path
This bike path is a well marked trail, gently rolling ride crisscrossing the Pemigewasset River through Franconia Notch to its headwaters at Profile Lake. Seven miles on a paved path in Franconia Notch State Park.
