Downhill Skiing
Twin Mountain-Bretton Woods is home to New Hampshire’s largest ski resort, Bretton Woods, boasting 63 trails and 35 glades, 10 lifts and 464 acres of skiable acreage – this place can’t be beat!
Make sure to check out the Rosebrook Lodge, located at the top of the Bretton Woods Skyway Gondola which offers stunning panoramic views of Mt. Washington and the entire Presidential Range along with a variety of dine-in or grab & go options.
Twin Mountain-Bretton Woods is also conveniently located near Cannon Mountain. This state-owned ski resort is located on Cannon Mountain within Franconia Notch State Park. There are 10 lifts that service 265 acres of skiing. When you’re here, be sure to visit the New England Ski Museum located at the base of the Aerial Tramway. Cannon Mountain is the only ski area in the United States with a ski museum on the premise – and it’s free of cost!
Cross-Country Skiing
Prefer to cross-country ski? Track and skate skiing are available at the Bretton Woods Nordic Center. It is one of the largest cross-country ski areas on the East Coast, with a 100-kilometer trail network. Great Glen Trails is another great location for cross-country skiing. With 45 kilometers of groomed and ungroomed trails, ranging from beginner through advanced, there’s something for everyone.
Equipment Rental
Don’t have your own skiing or snowboarding equipment? Visit one of the local business, such as Drummond’s Mountain Shop, that rents and sells equipment and all other winter gear. Be sure to call businesses and reserve your equipment in advance.
