The Colonial Theatre is open for the 2022 season! This is the oldest continually running theatre in the US and features a full schedule of live performances, movies, and community events. Mount Washington Cog Railway
A trip to Twin Mountain-Bretton Woods isn’t complete without a ride on the Cog! Fun for all ages.

All aboard the Mount Washington Cog Railway – the first mountain-climbing cog railway in the world! The Cog offers two experiences aboard their railway – biodiesel trips and steam trains, opening May 28. These three-hour round trips offer spectacular views from Quebec to the Atlantic Ocean and plenty of opportunities to learn the history of the Cog and Mt. Washington. The Cog Railway will be hosting a “Race The Cog” 5K on Saturday, June 25, where competitors will run along the Cog’s tracks, which climbs over 1,000 feet per mile! Sign up to be a spectator and cheer on the runners as they follow the train to the clouds!

Drive yourself or take a guided tour up mighty Mt. Washington!

The Mt. Washington Auto Road has reopened for the summer season! Take in panoramic views by car or motorcycle – or book a guided tour! The Auto Road is America’s original man-made attraction, with sweeping views of the Presidential range and spanning distant mountains.

From dancing bears and circus acts to train rides and museums, Clark’s Trading Post is the place to visit if you’re young or young at heart! Opening for the season on Memorial Day weekend, it’s easy to spend the whole day exploring this iconic New Hampshire attraction.

Memorial Day Parade & 250th Anniversary Kick-Off
The beginning of a summerlong celebration for the Town of Carroll.

The Town of Carroll, which is comprised of the villages of Twin Mountain, Bretton Woods, Crawford Notch, and Fabyans celebrates its 250th Anniversary in 2022. A whole schedule of events has been planned for this milestone anniversary, beginning with the Memorial Day Parade & Kick-Off Celebration on Monday, May 30 starting at 11am.

Attend the parade with commemoration for our veterans at the Memorial Bandstand, followed by a BBQ at the Fire Station. Stop by the Town Community Room for the unveiling of a historic display for Carroll’s 250th Anniversary.
